The EU is only suing the tech companies for laws they are breaking in Europe. Just because the US doesn't have much regulation, doesn't mean the EU needs to bend over and let its citizens get taken advantage of like they do over there.

American products simply aren’t designed for European markets. Many U.S. agricultural products contain chemicals banned in Europe, just as Kinder Eggs are banned in the U.S. If American companies wanted to sell more in Europe, they could simply adapt to EU regulations and consumer demand.

I love America but in the UK your cars are too big for our roads, we have little use for pickup trucks and the stuff in the back will get stolen all the time and our petrol is very expensive. Also we have to pay annual road tax to put a car on the road based on fuel efficiency. An American muscle car would cost over $1000 per year to tax, before you insure and fuel it. I love American cars but we can’t have them here. Your food on the other hand is toxic, please keep it.

Here are some easy solutions.
Make better cars, produce cleaner foods without chemicals and poisons, Apple, Google, FB and other big tech companies are not supposed to destroy local society and culture just because they are big and have money.
Take fx. California where all of these companies are residing for the last 20+ years and look at how deteriorated every aspect of society is there.
Nobody wants this just like nobody wants unreliable cars or food that makes you sick.
