I have tons of this in my backyard, my neighbor has a massive elderberry tree and birds and squirrels keep planting them

I don't know if this will prevent the bird from eating. I used them for my tomatoes and still birds are making holes through the bags.

The plastic will not benefit the plant it will sweat n mildew. If you have pest please use screen or mesh type anything or netting. So air can flow.
