Well, other than just being ginormous human beings, each of these men were once considered the second coming of Shaquille O’Neal.

Until they had to face him one on one..

But who really was the most like Shaquille O’Neal? Will there ever actually be another dominant center again? And what does it really take for a prospect to be considered the next Shaquille O’Neal?

Yao Ming was an 83% free throw shooter. He had shooting touch and was on pace to be top five ever. Those are Shaq’s words. Yao Ming got hurt and that was that. He was great, but would of been all time great if not for those knees and feet.

People like to sleep on Dwight. He brought a Magic team with Rashard Lewis only, lol, to the finals. Plus, he had multiple DPOY awards and was a very dominant defensive big. He just did doofy things, and didn't focus on his offense enough.

Plus, Shaq wasn't winning without a hof sg in kobe and dwade. He played with multiple all stars in his career (lebron, penny, steve nash, etc). He was only successful with a couple of stand outs. That is very telling, and you could argue he was actually a bit of a black hole on his squads.

Shaq was a better player overall when he arrived in LA, but physically he was at the top in Orlando, he could really jump and was freakishly nimble. Guess Kobe was right when he called Shaq lazy and fat 😂
