How to create 3D cutaway shots and wireframe effects | HitFilm Pro

Axel gives us a couple of quick tips and tricks to add some cool effects to 3D models inside HitFilm Pro 2017. These effects are very useful when you're adding 3D elements to your films; whether you want the camera to move through an object or you want to create an retro computer graphic look for an awesome heist scene! Oh, flippin' 'eck, it never occurred to me to use camera clipping for cutaways! Nice one, Axel!

So I finally got around to using this technique in Essential Hitfilm 12.

As a variation, I duplicated the main comp and, in the duplicate, changed the near AND far clip distance so the duplicate only showed 2-3 pixels of the model as a "rim" at the clip point. Tinted the rim white, added glows and a touch of heat distortion, and comped that back on top of the main model. Gave the cutaway a nice glowing rim. Looked pretty cool.

How can I create an underwater scene with a person ? is there a way of making the effect of being underwater for someone that isn't, by applying effects? under a green screen perhaps? or does it really has to be filmed underwater and blend them for a real effect?
