I write a weekly aviation newsletter and would love if you signed up!

Here we go! This was just one of the many catapult launches I was fortunate enough to experience off an aircraft carrier in a C-2 Greyhound during my career as a U.S. Naval Aviator.

The best narration of a carrier ops on youtube hands down!

I can't tell you enough how much I appreciate your flight deck videos. After 60 years, I now know what my Dad use to do flying ASW missions in Grumman S-2's in the "60s, as well as a bunch of of older types going all the way back to TBMs and TBFs (I know, they are the same thing).

Something about these launch videos, seems so much better than other jet launches I’ve seen. Can’t explain it. Probably the narrator and the look on both faces when it starts moving! So awesome!

This never gets old. I watch instead instead of drinking a pre workout.

I will never tire of watching flight deck ops. My boss was Air Force, and when I showed him your videos, as well as Growler Jams and others, he said "No thank you! I'll stick to my concrete runways."

FLY NAVY!!!

I hope the Navy is paying you, this by far the best recruiting ad I have seen in 20 years. Outstanding.

Thank you for including the line, “so the ship doesn’t run us over if we have to ditch…”

I’ve been wondering why the immediate clearing turns happen. Makes total sense now.

I could listen and watch you for hours! It would also be a dream, about as close as I would ever get, I know, to feel the power of the cat launch. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE! From Army Reserves 12B Vet. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

My uncle Jack piloted the F4 phantom in Vietnam when I was a boy, I was in awe. Thank God for all who serve this great country. 🇺🇸

I flew as a student pilot many years ago in tiny planes, was so much fun. Seeing this just gets the adrenalin pumping! Wow, what a rush, setting up a plane then taking off in any normal sense is so cool, but this on an aircraft carrier is just crazy! Thanks for all your vids @Rob Roy! I need to get behind the stick again now, that flying bug is hard to squash...

Props on the deck are frightening, you really have to trust everyone around you is paying attention, especially when turning. If I was the pilot, I would be seriously scared of killing someone I couldn't see, it gives me anxiety just thinking about it. Great job guys!

Running down the checklist:
1.Tool belt, hammer, speed square, fresh utility knife blade, pencil, diagonal cutting pliers, hardware, vacuum, drop cloth. Making sure everything is in hand before walking down 300 of dock to do some work on a houseboat on Lake Union in Seattle. What a great narrative. Thanks, Rob Roy.
