I thought this was simple, and helpful. Thank you for not making an hour long video for this. Nice work.

Most often, it is a mistake to not send the bass fundamental (100hz in this example) into the bass saturation. The distorted harmonics are generated from the loudest frequency, and if you remove that from the saturation, it will be less musical and clean. I would rather not cut it at 140hz, and just create a new bus track with a clean low end, then high-pass the saturated track.

This video is worth its "weight in gold"; such a simple but so effective. What a difference it makes to the bass clarity in a heavy mix. Thank you Streaky for all your great work and videos. Your Colourbox plugin that I am also using is phenomenal!!

Hi streaky, your content is always professional and informative & this is no exception. Over the years I’ve learned that what ever you add there needs to be room for, things can quickly get too busy in the mix.

Nice! I tested it today, and it worked fine for me. For some reason, my SSL Comp isn't modulating the VU, but it's still functioning properly. I was unsure about the incoming signal, so I added IK metering and noticed it’s slightly lower than yours. I’m using Ableton, so I can only guess how much send signal you set—I presume it was at 0.

Anyway, the result was great! I managed to give the bass more definition and a bit of smoothness. I'm an Afro House producer leaning towards a more Latin tribal sound, so my basses are really low but have a smooth groove. Thanks, bro! I'll definitely follow you for more tips. Thanks a lot

Waves Maxx Bass is great for that too.

nice. if you scoop saturn's output a bit it'll sit even nicer in a mix. a mid-Q band at around 1500-2500 Hz with -6 to -18 dB should do. adjust to taste.

I've been looking for a Bass sound in my AFRO BEAT Track that does this. Now I can find a bass close to it and treat it. Thank you.

Brilliant, *Streaky* and didn't you demonstrate something similar with one of the Izotope Ozone modules on another video, and if so, which Ozone module was it?

Very nice one, i used to put saturn straight on my bass but using a bus is way safer to make sure u dont change anything about the orriginal but just add a layer, side note i actually prefered the version where i didnt hear the bass notes on my phone, it made everything sound more chompy and less smooth in my opinion
