Oggi Guido Fisogni ci svela alcune curiosità particolari, tra gadget vintage, loghi e giocattoli

ENG: Today Guido Fisogni reveals us some secrets of his collection, between gadgets, logos and toys

In addition to fuel pumps, I collected every gadget I could find. They sometimes seems insignificant, but they represent the history of oil societies, of their logos...
These are some little pumps used as mosquito repellent, which contained the "FLIT", which was an oil-based product. In fact you can find pumps marked by Esso, Gulf and other companies.
These are the bags used by representatives for their samples. They went around workshops to sell oil and grease.
Other interesting gadgets are these toys, like these paper cars made by Shell. Here we find some ashtrays used by tire shops
Then we have a lot of keychains. The most interesting ones are the Total's ladybug, known by everyone, that was distributed for many years, or Esso's three dolls. On the left we find also matches
Then there are lighters, knives, can openers... And also the smaller piece has a logo of a society.
This Esso's can opener is particularly interesting because its logo is a wolf, which was Esso's logo until 1950s, then they chose a tiger. In fact Esso comes from Standard Oil, which had a wolf in its logo.
Then there are toys, always with the symbol of a society, which were very used in the past.
Here we can see a lot of oil cans of various forms.
These triangular ones were placed in a particular area of the frame of motorbikes as you can see in this reproduction of an old advertising. In this way you could carry the can with you during a voyage.
