35 years ago, me and my girlfriend visited there. At the top of the tower, she said “ it’s scary, this is almost toppling.” I didn’t say anything, because I was also scared. After coming back to Japan, we broke up and never seen each other again. If I could see her again, I would say to her “ We didn’t have to be scared, it’s still standing .”

I have been fascinated by this since I was a little kid. I’m 59 now and still fascinated by it.

I don't know if I would call the leaning tower of Pisa a mistake when it's an 840 + year old engineering marvel that's in perfect condition.

One day in Rome I was approached by a couple of young south Americans that asked me if the tower of Pisa was far from there. Probably they didn't realize that "Pisa" was a town located in another place.
