I'm probably getting the yellow one, really liked its design in the anime. I built a couple of entry gundams when I was very inexperienced and never touched gunpla again. I hope my 5 years of 1/56 scale miniature building and painting gave me enough skills to tackle this now 😅

If you love Gundam with its political intrigue and good lore, I highly recommend people do get into Muv Luv Alternative. Like Gundam, its got a high entry ceiling but the anime adaption can be a poor entry point due to not being well adapted, somewhat confusing timelines and title release, and its best consumed as visual novels-which cost money and long play time. A little back story, giant aliens arrive in 1970s, 4/5ths of humanity gone and 3/4s of the planet's surface and humanity fights the aliens with mechs. Isayama, creator of Attack on Titan, has stated he was heavily inspired by the VNs to make his manga and you can clearly seem some homages for the VN in his work.

@Gunpla Rush!, Thank you for reviewing these, I've been having a hard time finding reviews for these in English. Do you like the smaller one as much as the larger ones? Do you think you'll be getting more Muv Luv kits?

If you want to get familiar with the source material, don’t watch the anime, read the Muv-Luv visual novel trilogy. Muv-Luv Alternative is probably the greatest Visual Novel of all time. Really interested in these once I get more experience building other things.

They are not from Total Eclipse, but Muv-Luv Alternative (Total Eclipse parent story). It's currently on Season 2 which available on Crunchyroll

The Takemikaduchi look edgy and more ornate from Shiranui as they belong to the Japanese Imperial Royal Guard, and also the MC's pilot them in the final battle.

If ya gonna make 4 in 1 vid, compare different factions, since shiranui and take didnt have much difference in terms of build. Try the Raptor, Typhoon and Terminator
