Keeping in mind that my 2025 goals for reading include slowing down and not reading too much, too fast, I am not completely sure how to approach my To Be Read possibilities and planning. But! These are all winter-themed books that I have been looking forward to reading in January in front of a fireplace and so I will keep them stacked in a basket to choose at will.

The magical bookshop mystery series is also on my TBR list! 🤭

I’ve got a bit of a yearly plan going so in January the pile consists of; Persuasion by Jane Austen, A Roomful of Bones by Elly Griffiths OR The Cruelest Month by Louise Penny, 5 Little Pigs and Murder at the Vicarage by Agatha Christie, Death in White Pajamas and Death Knows No Calendar by John Bude (both stories in same book, British Library Crime Classics) and the Cozy Book Club pick. That’s 6 or 7 reads, which for me is too many! 😂

Such a wonderful selection of books. I need to check out the Magical Bookstore series. That sounds very good!

Your wood stove looks so cozy! it reminds me of my grandpa's stove, which I always loved to sit by. The Tough Winter cover is adorable! I'm planning to read Stories for Winter too! I have some books that are snowy/wintry like Shadows on the Alps by Mabel Esther Allan and A Countryman's Winter Notebook by Adrian Bell and then I have some non-wintry books like a re-read of North and South, The Young Step-Mother by Charlotte Mary Yonge, and So Big by Edna Ferber. I hope you have a lovely reading month, Rebecca!

I, occasionally, read a book based on the season. I read Deception Point, by Dan Brown, last winter. Thanks for the suggestions! Also, I love your dog at the end of your video.
