Pro tip # 467. Practice wheelies in the hospital parking lot. You’re welcome.

So good to get this advice from an actual beginner rather than an expert who, whilst he'll be far more skilled, will gloss over things that a beginner will notice that the expert has long forgotten...
Great video!!

chasing wheelies look sick though when you're close to balance point

I don’t Think u can get a higher boss level than popping a wheelie past a vehicle 😎😁

Nice mate, those wheelies you pulled off like the first one will be too high for a beginner and will scare them. Feels more like when you are more comfortable with the wheels coming up before you progress to what you demonstrated. Generally good advice around the wheelies :)

What you recommend I get my rpms up too on my R1??? I’ve been trying for a year now to wheelie!! I only give it a shot like once a month thO!! I’ve already did a $5k engine rebuild a month after I bought my bike...Just super scared I’m gone lay my baby down and have to shell out that same type of money again!! 🤦‍♂️

Question: Why shouldn't you try to "chase it?" It seems like it would be the logical next step after learning to get the wheel off the ground?

What about on comparatively heavier bikes like the CBR650R? Tried lower gears, high rpms but couldn’t get the wheel up no matter what. Do I have to have traction control off too?

I'm the opposite. I can power wheelie through a couple a gears but don't do clutch ups. But I'll try your technique on my next ride. Nice video btw. One of the best on this topic.

Hey so when I let go of my clutch my bike just goes really fast. Like I’m not understanding why it never lifts off the ground.

Are you supposed to pull the clutch all the way in or just past the friction zone so it’s touching my fingers?

Do you really just dump the clutch after revving it up or is there more control going into it? Also does it harm the clutch/what’s the technique to not harm it too much?
