You guys should record videos like this in both Turkish and English. Double the content for your channel and the Turkish video would help us who are trying to learn the language

When you arrive in the country, you must leave a tip of at least 10 dollars to the shopkeepers, this is a sign of respect, and those who do not are considered very rude

Curious fact, the fes, or fez like it’s called in Italy, is the official hat of the Bersaglieri unit in the army for the fatigue uniform ( not the same fes as described in the video but a version with soft fabric)

Excellent video, I enjoyed every minute, and I liked the simple graphic- it grabbed ones attention and directed the eye. I think these laws are very sensible and I wish that similar laws pertained in the UK, where it appears to be "cool" to eg dislike the national flag.

Here in the UK we have laws against defacing our currency (which always has a picture of our Queen or King on it). Not sure if it is more about disrespect or about wasting money these days, though!

I am new to your channel. I loved your video. I find all these laws logical. I am Greek and I want to know more about the Turkish culture and the people. I would appreciate to have a Turkish friend to chat about all these things.

None of these laws are crazy.
It is especially prohibited to insult Ataturk. Ataturk literally saved Turkey from collapse and destruction. In theory, Turkey's history may offend other countries, but why should the Turks tolerate them, even if the Turks themselves are wrong on many issues?
Neither Prohibition nor the law to protect the flag or the country's national heroes is something crazy. It's natural.

The one I find weird is about the Lira, honestly I just want money I can exchange and buy things, lol. I have no care to disrespect the lira which to me is a bit odd.

I think it's great that you legally protect your flag and your founding President.

Hello there ! I really love your content guys. Could you please consider doing more street interviews? They're incredibly helpful to me personally, and I really enjoy watching the interactions with everyday people❤️. Greetings from Albania🇦🇱 ❤️ 🇹🇷

I was trying to tell a friend over the phone where I was on the streets of istanbul. So I took a picture of police station in front of me and started to send it on WhatsApp 😂
Then suddenly a policeman ran outside and started to shout at me. But he stopped when he realized I was foreign.

Fun fact: the thing about the alcol is the same in the city of Florence in Italy

Many of these laws we have in İsveççe as well! like the camera law, prohibition against advertising alcohol etc. Infact, here you can only buy hard licqour at pubs/restaurants, or in specific, state-owned stores.

In Turkey I saw ice cream sellers in fez, but how can it be possible, if the fez is prohibited? (The Turkish style ice-cream is very good, I love it, but in Hungary we accustomed to the italian style ice creams. )

For desi people do not carry Chalia, Supari, or betel nut with you when going to Turkey. It may be a common thing in Pakistan, Bangladesh, and India but it will land you in jail in Turkey.

You have convinced me NOT to visit Turkey. The random check by by authorities in public areas and having to carry your ID all the time would make me uncomfortable as a foreigner, so I’ll spend my money elsewhere..
