Another thing is the base game is so much bigger than most new players would expect, having several different dimensions / Sub-games used to obtain badges. The main island is just a small fraction of the many other places to explore!

Also a lil tip for new players is to play with shiftlock it will help you a lot in the long run

The biggest tip of all is.. TO HAVE FUN! If you are getting tired of grinding badges or slaps, don't EVER be afraid to play around with your obtained gloves. Because, what's the point of playing a game when you're not having fun?
