Stability with movement: Tabletop with arm slides
Показать описание
The goal: Practice specific body movements while stabilizing from the center of the body. Movement starts with the center gently but strongly engaging and holding so that the limbs can move strongly and intelligently.
Stay aware of what your body wants to do, what wants to wobble and where it is holding.
Stabilize from the center - pelvis and trunk are connected, the abdominals are engaged but moveable with soft and integrated breath (360 degree lower body expansion).
Always easy neck, mouth, face (not stabilizing with neck or jaw).
Progress this exercise to allow arm to lift off the ground.
Progress this exercise to slide feet/legs, and eventually lift off of the ground.
