Several notable Democratic lawmakers on Capitol Hill are beginning to publicly endorse Vice President Kamala Harris for the 2024 Democratic nomination less than 24 hours since President Biden dropped out of the race. CBS News congressional correspondent Nikole Killion has more.

I believe that the President of a great country should be freer from such pressure when making the right and necessary decisions for the good of the COUNTRY.
In the modern political situation in the world, when global changes and reformatting of relations are taking place, stability of power has become an advantage (unfortunately, only for autocracies and dictatorships). To make greater use of the benefits of democracy, power must be made more stable and consistent.
The future presidential candidate must declare that his main goal, if elected president, is to reform presidential power: first of all, declare himself a one-term president and propose constitutional changes in the 2028 presidential elections: the US President is elected for a term of at least 6-8 years without the right to re-election for a second term.

In order to attract the middle class/independent voter, we must be cautious about selecting anyone too esoteric (ie. "Californian, far left"). We need someone who truly understands and speaks the Midwest language. Someone who the independents can relate to.

If Harris becomes the nominee, then all the more reason to balance the ticket with a Midwestern talent.

I urge that Tim Ryan be considered for this role.
