Today, I build a MASSIVE Castle in Survival Minecraft, this took over 45 hours to build. I also took a very long time gathering materials for the castle, which took almost 500 in-game days to complete. I came up with a 3d printer specifically to build huge castles. It makes cobblestone walls and stone floors, all you do is place some water and lava blocks in proper places, and then push some redstone to do the casting.

Cobblestone is a little meh as a building material, but you can make it work. Important part is it's about eight times faster than building it by hand, at least for my 16k build. The bigger the build the more efficient it gets.
