A circuit is composed of conductors (wire), power source, load, resistor, and switch. A circuit starts and ends at the same point. Usually, copper wire without insulation is used as a conductor. A switch is used to make or break a circuit. Resistors control the flow of the electric current in a circuit. A resistor is a passive element which means that it only consumes power but does not generate power. A load in a circuit consumes electrical energy and converts it into other forms of energy like light, heat, etc. A1/R eq =1/R 1 +1/R 2. Req< min {R 1, the R 2 }

Sir the and of first question is (D) 25
And and of second question is (I)__two resistance in parallel and one resistance in series= 9 ohm
(ii)_two resistance in series and one resistance in parallel.__4ohm

2) In case (i), 2 of the 3 resistors are to be connected in parallel and the third one to be in series with the first two.
In case (ii), 2 of the 3 resistors to be connected in series and the third one to be in parallel with both of them.

Sir the answer for the homework question 1 is d 25 because if we assume that a wire is cut into 5 equal parts the resistance of each part is equal to a .so when the each piece of wire is arranged in series the resistivity of the wire (R) will be a+a+a+a+a i.e. 5a
Now when the pieces are arranged in parallel the resistivity is(1/R' )=1/a+1/a+1/a+1/a+1/a
So our 1/R'= 5/a
So R'=a/5
Now ATQ, we have to fine the ratio of R /R'
So 5a/a/5= 25
So at last we can conclude that the ratio is 25/1
Therefore the correct option isD

Previous years numerical:
1) d- 25 ohm
2) i) first two are connected in parallel and its equivalent resistor is connected in series
ii)first two are connected in series and its equivalent resistor is connected in parallel
