I got a cookie press for Christmas when I was around 10 years old. I loved making spritz cookies and I still have the press 60 years later! I haven't used it in years but I think I'll break it out this weekend. Thanks John!

First I LOVE your style of teaching. You make it fun. Now on to cookies. When we first married my husband would gobble these up as soon as I had them made.. He loved them, so I made them often. Sadly we lost him this past June to cancer...however I will be making these cookies to give out to friends. And who knows, maybe heaven has a Spritz cookie bakery . If it does I am certain he is their best customer.

I never comment on videos. This recipe is legit. I have a 60 year old electric cookie press that belonged to my mother. I have been using a recipe from an old cookbook for 20 years that usually gets me mixed results after a lot of yelling at my cookie press. I decided to try something new this year. Followed the recipe exactly as written and it every cookie came out on the first try. Thank you for sharing this recipe!!

My mom had her mom's crank-handle cookie 'press' (early 1900's) and passed it down to me. I recently passed it on to my niece who was super close to my mom & loves to cook & bake & she loves it!

I spent the weekend before Christmas at a friends farm several years back, and his mom baked a ton of these for us to decorate/eat. Different shapes, tons of sprinkles, and colored icings. Never made these before, so it was such a fun experience for me. She then packed them up for us to take back home.. Good times. 🥲

My son and I made these every year when he was a kid. We still do when we're able to be together for Christmas baking (he lives in San Diego; I live in Oregon). One year, I had run out of sprinkles, so I mixed up some cinnamon and sugar to use instead. He liked them so well I have to do some with cinnamon and sugar every year for him. Brings back happy memories. Thanks for always making me smile!

This is AWESOME! I've had a cookie press for maybe 10 years or longer, never used it because..just because. I thought of getting rid of it several times but thought the day would come that I want to use it and thanks to John, it'll probably be this weekend!! Thanks John!!

I've had a cookie press for many years. Last time I used it, the cookies spread all over the place and I was disappointed and never used it again. I will try your recipe now and my cookie press. I trust you! Thank you

Hello John.
I haven’t made these Spritz Cookies in several years but you have encouraged me to dust off my Presses (I have 4) and make these for my Christmas dinner using your recipe.
My husband and I greatly enjoy watching your shows and we always get some wonderful ideas and short-cuts.
Merry Christmas to you and your beautiful family and we wish you all the best in the New Year.

I fortunately have an electric cookie press that was purchased by my mom 50 years ago for making spritz cookies! Planning on making these cookies this holiday season. Thanks John!

I have colored a little dough red and piped it with uncolored dough using a tip that makes the cookies look like variegated poinsettias. Merry Christmas!

I make these every year. I have gone through a few presses over the years. These are my sister's favorites and she has been known to use them as "spoons" for cool whip. I'll be making them later this week. Doing something every night to build up my stash for gift giving. Last night was choc chip w/walnut and tonight is my grandma's roll and cut sugar cookies (we will decorate them on Christmas day). Right now it's all about baking and freezing!
