D’or is pronounced like you would without the apostrophe, the same way as «for». D’or is a contraction of «de or», which means «of gold». In French they don’t like two vowels to crash, so they remove one vowel and make an apostrophe. It improves fluency.

Hello Laura,
I love amber in the colder months of the year. It gives a warming, cozy feeling. My current favourite is Bengal Rouge. It's not for everyone because it has that cat fur feel which is animalic. It's also has vanilla, honey, cinnamon and jasmine. I haven't put my nose on any of your top 10. I would like so sample some of them in the future. Thanks for sharing your thought about the fragrances and your reasons for choosing which ones didn't make the cut. It's probably going to get quite hard when you get close to 50. Also, I am super curious to hear what you ended up purchasing when you went shopping with Sebastian. - Jenn

I love la capitale and amber musk. I’m surprised when people don’t like la capitale - it’s so perfect to me. Amber musk sits closer to the skin and I like that sometimes. I don’t have the d’or version and it sounds a little different
