Can you please make how to produce “Wicked Games” and “After Hours” by The Weeknd? He has so many cinematic pieces that need to be broken down 😭😭😭

Great video again! Question. I believe the chord progression A min, D G E but the note on your piano roll don't suggest that even though they sound similar. Can you please explain what's going on there. Thanks again for posting and sharing your in sight

I always learn lots from your breakdowns! Recently I've been struggling to get that Daniel Caesar feel, dealing with how the chords and bass make a rhythm feel way slower than it is as well as the drums feeling as if they're constantly having their tempo altered, sort of like a parabolic-like swing tempo. Rhythm has always been my weak point. It be amazing if you could do a breakdown on a slow r&b type of song where it's typically very few elements at a time but it's so clean.

18:35 where does that sample come from? Reminds me of an old Kung Fu movie.

It worked out great. I like it, it inspires me to create my own track for stylish video clips.

I'm a real amateur, so I'm prepared for the laughs, but some things can take a while to settle in my routines. One of them is samples and drums. There is a confusing aspect about them. Most drum kits use C1 as their kick. On my 25 keys keyboard that requires going down two octaves. However, most samples have their own pitch on C3. I had to dive a little deeper in this because at 11:36 you say you go up 'a couple of octaves' (which seems to be 1 😉, C2). Was this necessary to use the sample in its original pitch (some sample lose their nature when deviating too much from their original pitch)? Earlier this week (I had forgotten about your excellent service of the project file) I struggled in the Dua Lupa Illusion video with the exact same sample (how to find one with the same pitch/depth to follow along with the video?)(imagine the embarrassment when the hi-hat sample I searched the web for was already in my Ableton😳). It even gets more confusing when you put samples in the drum rack (do they keep their original pitch (keeping their original C3 sound when hitting C1?). It takes some practicing (trial and (t)error) to get the picture clear and get overview and routine, at least for me. In a way this is a topic of its own. But, great video.
