I went through hell & back trying to find myself, I had to become somewhat selfish in my later years. My wife of 35 years is a sexual narcissist narcissist due to being sexually abused by her stepfather, I was a workaholic with many talents. I retired & then noticed her actions, I chose to stay with her as she is mentally, unstable . It's cheaper for us to stay together or give up 4 million to her. I used to be enamored with all these kinds of "ancient secrets" and "spirituality" things like being an Omnist, until I actually went too deep, I had an encounter with Jesus Christ and he made me aware that witchcraft, Buddhism, Islam, etc. are perversions of god's message and sacrifice. Jesus is the truth, he is king, you cannot have faith in your own soul alone to protect you from the evil forces and danger that exists in the spiritual.
