Lol thank goodness I am not the only one. I was the main nay sayer on the comments section for ENC and was ridiculed pretty heavily over it. My main point the whole time was EXACTLY what Tom summed up easily, "I wished all that energy... went into making an actual game".

Good commentary on the Emperor's New Clothes. I agree that it went too far beyond being an amusing diversion. If the project creators had any scruples, they would have cancelled the project before it was funded. Besides that, I have to say I actually have that new Super Dungeon Explore expansion - Von Drakk Manor - that you show in the beginning of the episode. It's amazing! Anyways, keep up the good work Tom!

I think a fair few people secretly hoped there would be a printed game including myself. I appreciated the joke :) but it was pushed a little too much in our direction & the repetition that there's a real game (& there's artwork, now buy it...etc) I prefer ideas/games that make people enjoy gaming :) and not make some feel a little sad/silly for hoping.
Great closing thoughts! Let's play games & have fun.

Wait. We're supposed to actually play these games, too? Where's the fun in that? :) Looking forward to a couple of the reviews this week and hoping to have time to bust out some games. It's been a little hard to do that lately - always a lot going on. We did manage several rounds of Escape over the weekend with some friends - that _was_ fun.

I get the message of that Emperor's Kickstarter project. I just don't get why these Springboard guys get to do it, they rely heavily on Kickstarter for their real projects in the past. Are they criticizing Kickstarter backers' intelligence? Potentially insulting their past backers.

See? I HATE April Fools' Day--there's always some FOOL who thinks they are funny--but they're not. NOT a nice project at all :o( Just because you CAN doesn't mean you SHOULD!!!
