Tom Thibodeau finally broke his silence recently as he spoke with NBA.com regarding the Knicks and their upcoming season. Thibodeau dropped a lot of gems during his interview but more than anything else, confirmed a major change for NY next season. Given the roster the Knicks have, NY would likely be better off if it went smaller at times during games. But this is very different from the normal Tom Thibodeau coaching methodology. However, Thibs confirmed that NY will in fact go small next season and describes how they plan to address their issues… Troy Mahabir breaks all of this down!

If the Knicks run Randle at 5 with the defensive punch of OG and Bridges on the wings? We’re going to average 110 to 115 and hold teams to 95 to 100 a game. We’re going to average 10 to 15 point wins a night. Randle drawing Centers out the paint and to the perimeter or even if teams play zone we have the shooters that can bust a zone up and its going to be hard for teams to keep up with us playing small ball. A lot of run and gun. This is going to be a good look.
