When Iver goes back to the cabin you know it's a masterpiece

At his best, listening to Bon Iver feels like something holy. Praise and worship for transcendentalists. Try his "Heavenly Father Acapella at the Sydney Opera House" video, for example

The Judge was the first time I heard Bon Iver too. The song is "Holocene". It's beautiful.

I come across his music from time to time and I’m always moved. His music is calming and really hits the soul.

Justin wrote Speyside as an apology to two friends that he loved and hurt. This is going right back to the sound of the first album 'For Emma forever ago '
Justin Vernon is an outstanding musician in every way. Bon Iver being one of his bands.. also I recommend Big Red Machine another band he is a member of with Aaron Dessner from The National.

If you’re a fan, you need to listen to the album For Emma, Forever Ago. He made it when he was in a dark place physically and mentally, in a cabin in the woods, and it’s a beautiful album.

Bon iver is so unique. He is in my top 5 best artists. Such an amazing voice and phenomenal instrumentals.

He has a great collab with Taylor Swift called Exile. They harmonize beautiful together. Plus, the song is lyrically beautiful. It's the first I ever heard of him. they recorded it during the pandemic. There is video of them singing it on theLong Pond sessions. Would love to hear them collab again!

The original Skinny Love. Exceptional music. Good for the soul.

You can listen great example of the voice effect he uses in "715 - CRΣΣKS" from his album "22, A Million". He inventad that effect, its called "Prizmizer". Basically sounds like a lot of Justin Vernon's singing the same thing in different tracks and tunes. Some people confuse this with some kind of autotune, but is not.

Bon Iver is the bands name. Justin Vernon is the singer.

First time finding you. What a real and authentic reaction.

Justin Vernon’s lyrics are the absolute pinnacle of the “to have love and lost” theme.

Heavenly Father with the choir sold me even after religiously listening to his earlier work. Perfect acid calm down music. Perfect peace of mind. I love Justin, dude saved me more than once

I remember this from “the Judge”, like you said Sebs. Loved
it there so thank you for this. I didn’t know. ❤

I was just reminded of the Canadian group Tragically Hip, check them out.

Saw them play live last summer - I'm not a spiritual person, but man, oh man, I unvoluntarily wept during several songs. I can't explain it. The vocals and notes just hit that spot that makes you feel something.

Ive been listening to Bon Iver since his first album came out. His incredibly emotional music is what has kept me listening. Id love to see you go through his albums in order. Though if i were to pick a few songs for you to react to, it would be Re:stacks, Holocene, Beth/Rest and probably Blood Bank (live).
