Small correction! S23 Ultra DOES support the voice recorder in the Now Bar, it just needed an update from the Galaxy Store and then it'll work

Its such a dirty move from samsung. You pay 1100 euro's for an s24 ultra, expecting 6 years of updates. And you get them delayed AND trimmed down. They are just showing that they don't have enough new features and hardware upgrades too make it a convincing upgrade.

Even the great S21 Ultra is more than capable of running all One Ul 7 integrated features including AI features too. I think Samsung developers have too much on their plate and don't want to admit their shortcomings.

In my opinion, it looks like One UI 7 is still in beta, even on the latest devices. Samsung just doesn't want to admit that they messed up. So they forced the hardware to launch with unfinished software and as a result we see this mess. (sorry for bad engish).

Imho, with so many apps out there, made for different android phones. Hardware limitation is just a poor excuse. It felt more like Samsung trying to gate keep their software. It certainly wouldn't help them bring in new user. But it definitely serves as just another reason for their fan to upgrade.

Edit: If they wouldn't gate keep their feature. I think they wouldn't had such a hard time optimizing it.

5:42 That's because of the display technology on the S23 series. The S24 and S25 both have a newer display technology which allows them to not move static objects as much as the S23. You can also notice this even with one ui 6.1.1 where the clock moves a lot so the screen doesn't get burn-in.

Samsung has the funding required to employ more hands to get things in place on time.
And older models are more than capable to handle this little software stuffs. They’re just marketing the 25 ultra. One UI 7 doesn’t have much( icon changes and now bar is just redesign and few software. ) the old chips from S22 to s24 can handle all that even AI.

They should be wise or fall soon

Can't remember of any Android / OneUI delay this big. Seems Samsung still struggles with OneUI7 even on S25.
They have too many devices and management promises for long time support is too much for their dev team.
But honestly I don't care that much about AI, don't like e.g. the new battery icon so the only thing I'm really interested in OneUI7 is video log recording brought to the older models. I'm glad it appears on S24U beta now

This video is much needed, I was thinking bout the same thing...
Previously for example,
when S10s came with Night mode, even S8s got that.. like they were giving same software features for like 2 generation of devices..
And now S23s doesn't get S24s AOD. Now S24s getting LOG but S23s doesn't. Samsung can't even say that 8gen2 isn't capable for that...
This is Wild to think..
In that way when S26s or S27s came out S25s chip won't be capable that either, for the Chip we're Hyping all that..
I'm worried if this continues those devices which got 7 years of updates, all those will get the only Android Numbers changed. Like Android 20 to 21... cuz we'll not have any of those features... ;(

The problem with Samsung is that they release 10 models of phones every year so making a consistent UI throughout all those devices (plus the earlier ones) is difficult

This is one of the reasons they need to release a new phone every other year: research and development take time. They either release their new phone every other year or release a half-baked product, requiring time to work out bugs and unfinished software that carries over into a new release year, like Apple.

the oneui 7 on s25 ultra is a beta build too, don't make a sense they announce a SO update and the beta program still running lol
