I can understand the concept, that the Olympics are an world wide event and therefore you want to have participants from each country and each continent. But the Olympics are much less staked with good players than any World Tour Event. The Top chinese player can make out atleast the first twelve spots.

why don't we get to see the best play the best instead of filling quotas for different parts of the world. 10 of the top 30 players can't play singles. This just means its going to be even more one sided than usual with fan zhengdong and ma long not having a lot of the players who had a possibility of beating them even present. Players like lin gaoyuan and wang chuqin can go close to those top players which few of the others can actually do so why just exclude them like this instead of there being dedicated world rankings spots with no strings attached.

Super thankful than Liam Pitchford and Paul Drinkhall made it onto the list in the last few spots, would be an embarrassment for england to not even qualify for the olympics

So looks like for WTT: Europe = GER; Africa = EGP; Asia = China; NA = USA; LA = BRA; etc.

Quite unfair to deny top players from China, Japan and Germany to only allow some random dudes outside the top 200. This is done to prevent Chinese embargo on medals but then you end up lots of China born ethnic Chinese players playing for other countries… Just stop this crap and allow strongest to play. Really unfair to Xu Xin, Patrick Fransizka, Jun Mizıutani, Ding Ning, Miu Hirano and so on…
