The US Army trains soldiers for jungle warfare at the 25th Infantry Division's Lightning Academy on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. Students spend an entire day learning about jungle survival skills such as collecting and purifying water, building shelters, setting traps for animals, starting fires, and finding edible fruits and plants.

As a pacific islander from Papua New Guinea, watching the guy tasting the coconut at the end was hilarious. Dude has most likely only tasted processed Coconut all his life.😂

Everything was spot on execpt the testing food in nature part. When you want to try a plant rub it on your elbow (they were right on that part) and wait 15 minutes, if no reaction then rub it on your lips (the most sensitive skin on your body) and wait another 15-20 minutes. Then rub it on your tongue and wait another 15 for any reactions. If that all works then you're good to consume it if you confidence it is safe.

Some good stuff. Some... But, Kudos to the Cadre who understood the biology of recycling urine. It's a viable survival method only if done early or store to distill.

I have been homeless a number of times over the years and quite honestly veterans that I had met taught me THE BEST tricks on how to survive in any situation ! this video shows some of them ! these lessons are invaluable and honestly need to be taught on a wider scale because I meet a lot of people that will simply die once the food at Whole Foods is finished or their cellphone stops working excellent video
