I think the ps4 is better than the Xbox one because #1, ps4 costs less, and so does its games. #2,  the controller has a touch screen. And #3 the ps4 has better graphics. It doesn't really matter anyways. My parents will never let me by these kinds of game systems, because they are a fanatic about education, and apparently there are too much "violent" games for ps4.

It's obvious you didn't watch/pay attention to the Xbox One reveal. They're selling it as an "all in one entertainment system".

You can still play games on it, but it's branching out into other areas of entertainment and as a result branching out to a wider audience. Ergo, we still have a games console, it can just do so much more than a normal console. The whole idea of it is it being the centre of the living room.

PS4: Plays games.

Xbox One: Plays games, shows TV and browses the internet.

I'm an Xbox to PS4 convert as well. Never owned a PS3, so just learning this stuff too, but to answer your questions:

1. yes, Playstation Plus = Xbox Live Gold. PS4 will require it to play online multiplayer games, but unlike Xbox One's Live (unless they recently changed), you won't need it to watch netflix, etc.

2. Yes, every PS4 comes with a PS4 Eye.

PS4 has several exclusive games, a completely redesigned controller, full game demos, a background downloader, DDR5, instant sharing, allows friends to play for you, supports Indi gamming, has old console games available for purchase with GaiKai, no Used game restrictions or fees, is not always online, while still being free to play online!

Talking about the Indi market you’ll see that the ps4 is going to have thousands of exclusive games. That you won’t find on your next generation cable box.

I love how you two can just talk and not argue it amazed me

Guess what I'd do? Play both.

The PS3 isn't going to suffer the always online + blocked used games issue. Doesn't matter what friends you have, if you miss out on PS4, you're missing out on many exclusives. If you don't care that much, don't, but personally, the reason why I have all home platforms of this generation and will do next generation (minus the Xbox One) is because they all had different experiences and exclusives to offer, that I considered worth experiencing. You only live once.

I'm glad that this gen I'll be going for a PS4. Xbox 360 was brilliant, as it was affordable and played all of the games I like. However, I'm a big Square Enix fan, and there's a lot of promise for Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts games on the PS4. I'm quite sad that Microsoft have these rather expensive little surcharges, as I would have liked to have tried the Xbox One.

guys stop fighting over a damn console. either get one or the other and be grateful. as they've said in the video they are "similar" and developers don't want to concentrate on one console than the other. i'm no fanboy but i'm waiting to see who has won the official console war battle this Christmas, then decide which to get and not making assumptions about which is better. -.-

What you meant was "I'm talking about consoles". You seem to have a vendetta against anything that Microsoft does, regardless of the fact that other people have already done it before them. In fact, you're willing to turn a blind eye to this.

It's a quote confirming what I already know.

Of course you go offline if you don't pay. They won't give it to you if you're no longer paying. They would have planned for this contingency. Internet so bad it is gone for 24 hours? Get a better connection.

Dear HomeskooledVideo,
You seem to be blaming the PS3 for the developers lack of effort. If you, like me, would look at the specifics of the console you were purchasing you would realize that the Xbox 360 paled in comparison to the PS3's capabilities for high end graphic video games. The only things that Xbox did better was its network and chat options. Although I saved a whole 480$ because I didn't have to pay for internet. For those who are wondering where I got that number take 60 times the

I can get the xbox one for around 100$ less than the PS4. Is the extra power worth it you think?

Lol I'm not worried about the exclusives. Sony did state at their E3 that they have 140 games currently in development and later on promised that 100 of them will be playable in the first year and with over 20 of them being exclusives and 12 of them being being brand new IPs or first party exclusives. You can't just judge a console's exclusives based on E3 alone. Most likely what Sony showed at E3 wasn't even the tip of the ice berg.

I never said I am barely able to live or spend money on recreational products, but I'm not willing to spend 200$/year for 2 games + a multiplayer subscription as well as spending 400$ to get the console..I'd much rather upgrade my PC for 200$, share/trade games with my friends through Steam and have at least 200 bucks left to spend on other things, as well as being able to play more games whenever I want, wherever I want. I was ready to buy the PS4, but not like that.

Sony announced in January 2013 that they've sold 77 million units world wide. In February 2013 Microsoft announced they've sold 72 million units. Clear enough?

Um, you're mistaken, there's no "yellow light" on the PS3 that can video monitor you and then send those images anywhere else. There's an OPTIONAL camera that can be attached to it. This is not like the new Kinect, which can "read your heartbeat and see where the blood is flowing, " which is REQUIRED to be activated in order to work, on a system that was originally wanted to always be doing online checkups. Good luck suing the NSA btw, especially after you've signed some EUL upon reg'ing for Live

"gamers are the minority" so you mean to tell me a non gamer would buy a console for 500-600 dollars instead of just watching TV normally? You sir, should never ever throw yourself into an argument again.
