Biggest takeaway: The only thing you can really "own" is your customer for life...a relationship.
Everything else can be culturally lost, taken away, etc. So powerful.

Amazing interview!! Love Dan's insight. My main takeaway is the lifelong relationship with customers that I have always been focusing on and I believe is the most valuable thing to achieve. It's good to hear that from someone like Dan. 🔥🔥🔥

How do you stay authentic while crafting your character, personality, & voice to suit your audience?

Should crafting be thought more of as adjusting? To me crafting is creating something from scratch to fit, hence lacking authenticity. Adjusting your style still keeps the authenticity.

Owning customers. Sure, a metaphor, but a quite telling one. Freedom as defined in the declaration of independence means a free person cannot be owned. If you are owned by someone else, you're a slave. Language reveals a lot about how you think.
