A little animatic I made for The Owl House, which is quite possibly my new favourite show??? The animation in the show is gorgeous and obviously I love both Amity and Luz within an inch of my life. So I wanted to make something sweet for them in the hopes of lumity being canon!! (God I hope so)
Also I managed to churn this bad boy out in four days! It's definitely a new record for me but please lord do not attempt it for yourselves because I was working on this for like 8 hours straight at times, very late into the night. 10/10 would not recommend.

I like how at 0:49 It shows her siblings, "friends", and parents all grayed out and then when it gets to Luz and co (see what I did there?) they're all color in symbolizing she feels safer and calmer around them.

DUDE its actually crazy how good this is!! you're so gifted in your storytelling ability and how you framed the movement and the characters in each scene. they flowed seamlessly with the song - theres a great sense of timing and buildup. ALSO the way you communicated some of amity's feelings through the lyrics, especially when her diary self starts gushing out loud or when she's sitting on the steps... chefs kiss, totally effective choices. super skilled at illustrating expressions and body language. i think im dying from the sheer amount of emotional turmoil you depict amity experiencing in this animatic. also, god, the way that luz and amity looks at each other so lovingly in your interpretation of the dance scene?? you made my whole entire month. i know we're all suffering from lumity brain worms, but please dont almost die making another animatic like this one kfldshgk TAKE YOUR TIME???

I think my favorite thing about this ship is simply how normal it is treated. There’s no one questioning either of them about it. It’s not treated as some deviation of the norm. It’s just two crazy kids in love and that’s just how it should be.
