I used Progressive and got into an accident, had to pay nearly $200 a month. I switched to Geico and am now only paying $120 a month. It's crazy how accidents affect you differently in insurance claims. This was over six months ago, too.

Amica no longer offers auto ins. dividends in some states (Texas is one) and your policy must be a "dividend" policy. This classification has changed since I began using them over 20 years ago. Previously, the dividend each year was an automatic thing.

Ok, odd question. I've had Progressive for about a year - just renewed for my 3rd term last week. On their app, I've noticed they've started pushing a new thing called "accident response" that they say is a way to detect crashes and "get help to you faster." I suspect it's just another way they have to track you like the Snapshot program (which I decided not to get because I'm getting a good enough rate without it). Does anyone know anything about this program? Just trying to see if my suspicions are correct. I'm just normally the type that is very cautious about how much tracking I let any app on my phone do.

I’ve had 2 not at fault car accidents, funny enough they were 5 years apart. Never had a discount or at least noticed it. It have only went up. Geico

I’m currently with progressive, and have been with them for about 4 years. So far I’m liking their app but I would not use their snapshot discount I already like how my rate is without it 👍🏼 plus I never had claims and I have a clean record too. With that progressive has made it tough for other companies to beat their rate. I always tried to shop but progressive always wins in my case

Amica just offered me a premium for $250 less than my current provider (progressive) for a similar plan.
