Bread pudding is one of my favorite things to bake because it's so versatile. Instead of raisins I like to use craisins [sun dried cranberries] and thin slices of a peeled granny smith apple. I've also tried whiskey raisins [raisins soaked in whiskey for a week] which was absolutely amazing! Don't worry, the alcohol bakes out. And they are on the right track when they say it's a great breakfast food!

thanks for the recipe. I made this twice using your recipe.the first was with raisins and currants. currants are sweeter.the second time I used raisins, currants and chopped walnuts its in the oven now.I used Italian bread.I rather use that or French bread.those breads are thicker and I find its better than regular sandwich bread.it keeps its texture rather than being soggy.I like your recipe n video better than others.its so simple and easy to follow instructions, so easy a caveman can do it. lol. keep up the good work.I give it two thumbs up 👍👍🍴🍴🍴

Thank you for your question, Natalie. We wouldn't recommend freezing the bread pudding. The egg custard that is a part of the pudding does not freeze and thaw well.

I made sponge cake the other day but it turned out too dense almost like bread so I chopped it up and used it for this pudding recipe, the whole thing took 10 eggs lol
