I spent 2 years of my childhood in Macau(before the transfer) when my dad was relocated here as a representative of his company and those two years were definitely some of the most memorable periods of my life. It wasn't until 20 years later that I finally came back and I'm astonished to see how much has changed. I would most definitely come back in the future with my family. I went there last year. It's a fun place, pretty low key, great food, clean, safe. The Hotel Lisboa lobby has priceless Jade sculptures of great detail. You can walk over the border into China (Zhuhai), where there is a large underground shopping center.
