Fun fact:
In 0:45, Rimuru fighting those monsters isn't something the animators made up because it would look cool in the opening. It's actually a part of the novel that the anime skipped.

Rimuru wanted to be registered as an adventurer because it would make traveling easier, so after the paperwork he fought some monsters to determine his level, and the results were what you would expect. Because of his appearance, nobody expected much from him, but he actually defeated every monster in a single strike, leaving everyone speechless.

At the end, he was classified as a B rank adventurer, which was something extremely uncommon for someone who just recently joined the adventurer's guild. And of course, he wasn't classified A or S rank, not because he couldn't he couldn't defeat stronger monsters, but because there weren't any stronger monsters to fight him there.
