After all these years, we still get asked questions about Shima everywhere we go. We wanted to make a definitive video that anyone can watch to put the mystery to bed - something official you can refer or link to. She was always funny and cheerful behind the scenes, so we wanted to make something both serious and silly that she would have gotten a kick out of if she were still active.
All of us at the crew miss Shima a lot; hopefully she'll watch this and decide to reach out one day.

then that is her choice to make. The fact that people care about her after 6 years even tho she was a member
for only 8 months proves she did a great job with doing her part.

I seriously haven’t watched you since she disappeared, but in those 8 months you made my life man, me and my buddies used to have drawing competitions at school, I remember drawing every character in my spare time, and I’m super happy to hear she’s alright and to see you guys are doing alright and are still as fun and entertaining to watch as I remember, thank you guys

8 months? Legit felt like 2 years tbh. Damn internet-time really do feel long. I still remember tearing up watching that thank you video she did, back then I thought her disappearance was her just growing out of a phase or something, I was sadden but no where near as conspiratorial like some people where I just thought she had other things in her life she needed to focus on and that's that. I'm just glad to know she's alive and well even if it took 6 years for the answer to come out.

As much as I hate to admit it, because I feel bad about my lack of brand loyalty, but after Shima fell off the channel, I stopped being as attentive to it and I've rarely checked in for new content since then. I used to watch you guys a lot during my high school years, partially for the interesting facts and the awesome songs like "Sea of Tea" and "Hickory Dickory Dock", which I shared with my mom. I also love the art style of the animations ever since the launch of Super Planet Dolan - yet another art style I wish I was capable of producing myself lol. But like you said, Shima was so integral to the channel, even after only 8 months of presence, and the void created after she left was significant. I could literally hear the sadness in your voice, Dolan, in the videos after she disappeared. The channel just felt like it was in mourning, and due to my own depression, it became hard to watch your videos without feeling bummed out, like a friend just decided to walk out on me, and the rest of the friend group is still just sad and can't stop thinking or talking about it. The lack of explanation made it worse. It made me upset to realize I was losing touch with the channel, but it's clear that everyone involved as well as myself and other fans were impacted by Shima's absence. Knowing now what happened, I feel a bit better knowing that she's at least doing okayish, and is trying to take care of herself first - that's something I've always struggled with, since I just tend to dissociate when things really start to get under my skin. I'm going to get back into this channel, and try to stick with it again, partly because I miss the content, and partly because I feel like I've been ghosting it myself. I hope Shima can resolve whatever life struggles she's dealt/been dealing with these last six years, and even if she doesn't choose to return to the channel, I hope she can at least reconnect with everyone here, since you all sound like you're a close-knit group of friends; a family, even. It would just be nice to know that there's a happy ending to this all, even if it means she's done with appearing on the channel. Shima, we miss you, but more importantly we hope that you're happy and healthy. Same goes to the rest of you at Super Planet Dolan. You're all such amazing people with wonderful and lively characters you put on for the channel, all for our enjoyment, and neither I nor anyone else can really thank you all enough. I'd love to be a part of something like this channel someday, making content for the enjoyment of others and myself, all with a collection of friends. This is a beautiful and special thing you've got here with this channel, and I miss it dearly. Expect to see more of me in the comment sections of future videos, and happy holiday season everyone!

Shima’s reasoning for disappearance reminds me a lot of myself. I hope she gets the support she needs, and we’re all glad she’s alive and well. You and her were integral parts of a lot of childhoods and we all thank you for that
