bought the bike in the blue and pink color 3 months ago and the first thing I did was to lower the stem and swap the handlebars for a zipp one with less reach. Amazing bike since!

I just bought the ALR as a frameset. Building it up with all the upgraded components in the size I like. I'm putting on carbon wheelset and GP5000 tires. Putting on a 105 Di2 groupset with gears that I like and most important a crank length that is appropriate. One thing Trek seems to do is put on cranks that are quite long, if they do not fit you it's very costly to change the crankset. All in all, buying the frame and building up the bike perfectly fitted for you with components you spec out, for pretty well the same price, maybe a little more, I think that is the way to go!! Nice vid though. You described the Emonda ALR very well, thanks.

Been riding this for about a month now. Definitely worth it. Would suggest upgrading wheels and tires!

I purchased this bike in the azure blue and coral. I've received all kinds of compliments. I love this bike. It hands nice, though a little twitchy due to the short wheelbase. It's a joy to ride.

My current bike is a Giant Revolt 0 gravel bike that I use as an all-rounder. I'm thinking of adding the Trek Émonda ALR 5. For 40+ km road rides do you think I'll notice a enough of a difference between these two bikes to be worth $2700?

I know Trek hate the idea of drop seat stay but they to do it in ALR series.

If this bike is the ALR 5 with the mechanical 105 - It costs $3118CAD where im from which makes it less appealing seeing as you can pick up a really good carbon alternative the same money.

$3118 sounds crazy but its about right as we have to pay a 20% VAT which absolutely kills us on big purchases. $3118 and it doesnt even come with carbon wheels or a mid-range DT Swiss wheelset. Im probably going to be paying another $1300 for a lighter wheelset anyway. Other than that. I do wish these bikes came in more colours. Im a sucker for a white and black combination.

Prices are so much higher than they were when i last bought a bike in 2016/17

Emonda ARL 6 is the way to go. Available with Shimano 105 Di2.
