I like how when Genji enters HotS, he makes friends with Murky (sorta). But when Hanzo enters HotS, he makes friends with the queen of all dragons of Azeroth. Never second-best indeed!

To be fair, Alextrasza could literally catch Hanzo's arrows in mid air. In this video, they don't seem to take the role of rivals, but master and apprentice.

I think she transformed to test his determination, to see if he would retreat in the face of an unfantomable threat.
After seeing that he kept his bravery despite the danger, she showed the portals to the Nexus battlefields as the sign that Hanzo was ready.

when i saw the moment hanzo started firing arrows at alexstraza's dragon form while taking cover am i the only one who sees that as a Hobbit movie reference??? and i gotta say, hanzo you picked a powerful and good looking teacher. :)

I love how Hanzo is just fine with the entire idea of magic. Well, to be fair, he has 2 magical spirit dragons, so that might have helped.

I think they represented Hanzo mains really accurately in this video. His hit rate on Alexstrasza is what? Maybe one in ten? ...It might actually get worse after she turns into a dragon that's literally the size of a barn. Yes, they've really captured the essence of Hanzo here.
