There are many types of displays to use with Arduino and NodeMCUs but one of the most common ones is the humble character LCD. The most commonly used character LCDs are the 16x2 and 20x4 LCDs that work in exactly the same way and can be controlled over I2C with an adapter board.
In this video, I go over how these displays work, how to connect them, and what code you can use to display your information.
