Welcome back, to another series of Beowulf.
In this chapter Beowulf arrives at the castle and is announced to the king. Beowulf talks about how his own people told him to come help Hrothgar, he rid the world of giants, and will fight Grendel with his bare hands. Beowulf continues to discuss all the adventures he’s gone on and all the monsters
he’s faced. Once done the queen passes around drinks and everyone starts celebrating. Everyone goes to sleep, except Beowulf who stays up waiting for Grendel to arrive.
