A Complete Guide to Worksets in Revit

In this complete and comprehensive guide, you will learn how to use Worksets in Revit. Worksets are like layers in AutoCAD or Photoshop but can be used in so many other ways. The power of worksets is seen when you split your model into different worksets based on your desires for visibility. I often have a main workset as well as a site and links workset. You could even take it further and include an interiors workset or furniture workset. The main reason for using worksets is to have more control over the visibility of large chunks of similar types of model elements. This is so far the best tutorial regarding worksets in Revit. I personally use this feature to manage my views, one for architecture, one for site, one for furniture, one for Structure ...etc . And why i use this cause once you turn one of your machine performance !

Very good overview! I would add Workset display setting to quicky apply color coding to all worksets in any view. Also the general use or worksets to separate scope or discipline not covered by Revit categories.

I've been using REVIT for years now and didn't have this figured out. I think this will be helpful in us showing base bid and alternate items. We tried using phases, but both the base bid and alternate items are new items and this was messing up our graphics.
