Today we are VEGANIZING some Steak n’ Shake! This is a pretty easy thing to put together, but it’s no less amazing. Literally just a double SMASH BURGER with Garlic Butter toasted buns, and then you wanna baste the top bun with some melted Garlic Butter! FRICKING OUTSTANDING I tell ya!

I used Impossible Meat, Violife Cheese, and Earth Balance Butter.

As THEE BURGER DUDE, my goal is to show vegans and non-vegans alike how to make easy, vegan comfort food!

Hello, since uploading videos to Shorts, I’ve noticed some recurring questions, so I thought I’d add a handy dandy FAQ!

1. Why do vegans eat food that mimics meat / dairy?
For myself and many vegans, we didn’t stop eating meat and dairy because we didn’t like the taste, but because we don’t think a meal is worth taking the life of a cow, chicken, pig etc. I used to eat a lot of meat and dairy, but once I educated myself about how the food got to my plate, and once I tried all the amazing vegan alternatives, it was easy to make the switch.

2. Is that bread, burger, cheese etc really vegan?
Yes, everything I post is devoid of animal products.

3. What is your favorite vegan meat and cheeses?
For meat, I like Impossible and Beyond Meat. For Cheese I like Daiya, Follow Your Heart and Violife.

4. What is nooch (aka nutritional yeast)
It’s a savory, umami enhancer that is used in a lot of vegan sauces and cheese amongst other things.

5. I hate vegans!
This isn’t a question, but I’m sorry you hate vegans! There are problematic people in every group (like That Vegan Teacher) and vegans are no different. However, the vast majority of us are just doing our best to be as compassionate and thoughtful as possible, and to reduce suffering for our animal friends.

Hi everyone, yes the cheese is in fact VEGAN! I'm so used to calling it cheese that I forgot to add "vegan" before, plus these videos are short on time!

ALSO! This was super delicious and I can tell you that as somebody who used to eat ALOT of meat and dairy. Impossible and Beyond are amazing meat alternatives and in fact, are a big part of why I was able to make the switch so easily. I didn't give up eating animals becuase I didn't like the taste or texture, but because I didn't like the animal abuse involved. These kinds of meals are perfect if you're like me and love eating burgers, but aren't crazy about all the death and destruction. Hope that clears things up, thanks!
