oh yeah, major improvement over the simple right-click "copy to" or "move to".

Thank you so much ! <3

Btw, i used this trick (command prompt) in windows recovery option. I got a chance to backup my files in "Local Disk D" to "External HD".

I'm so sick of fixing Startup Problem/Loop Boot. I tried everything and i got nothing.

I tried Windows Recovery Option > Command Prompt > open Notepad and click File then Open > Copy Important Files, then Paste to my External HD, but no luck. Copying didn't worked.

So, my last resort is THIS ! and it worked ^_^ <3

Again, Thank you so much ! <3

Enter quotation marke if you're receiving the error (invalid parameters or something). Just add " before the path and after the path. Eg- xcopy "c:/pathname" "d:/copyhere".

ok so to anyone who is having or will have a similar situation

i attempted to format and reinstall windows but for some reason i keep getting an error that i cannot install windows onto that disk
my problem is that it's the only one i have in my laptop and it's split into two different partitions where on the second partition i have my backed up data which i don't want to lose
i'm currently trying this method by sending that data onto my external hdd after clicking Shift F10
(for those who need more explanation, if you can only see the windows install window just click the 'shift' key and 'F10' key that is located on the top of the keyboard, together)
i repeated the steps listed in the video and it seems that the data is being copied to the hdd
it's about a 100 gbs so i'll add to this comment once it's done

Edit: ok so it's done, the files have all transferred BUT there's an issue, I can't see the folder to where I sent the files but if I type in the search bar then it seems that yes they are in the external and I can copy them but I can't find the main source folder

i'm happy that now I can format the pc but i'll have to search a way to find the source folder
