Ran into this "old" video. I have a Sl-P999 and love the sound of it.
Will never ever sell it and hope it will not break down.
As of this year it is 30 years old and still looking and playing as new.

Considering the price tag when these machines where newly introduced early '90, its crazy difficult to get either one of these machines nowadays for a reasonable bargain in 2016.

The Slp999 was 20bit + the 777 was 18bit. Some modern CDP are 24bit I had a slp999 from 1989 + bought the Marantz CD63 Ki Sig as an upgrade? The Technics sounded better. I sold the Marantz CD63 Ki Sig to fund a MF XRay. I reluctantly had to sell the Technics. Nowadays all in one systems seems to be the norm. Bit like Ghetto Blasters of the 80s! Room filling sound?? yeah right!!
