I love the flavor in your playing, Steph. It's not often you hear this much soul-substance in shreddy pieces. Hadn't heard your work before this clip but will be gladly checking out more in the future.

I listen to this at least once a day.  Why?  I am just beginning to play electric guitar (and acoustic, for that matter) again after a multi-year absence due to six years of chemo (a little gift from Vietnam, for those of you who may have heard about that and Agent Orange).  Before my cancer diagnosis, I was going to buy a custom guitar from Carvin because my wife and I had attended NAMM and thought those guitars were just superb.  Life happens when you make plans!  On Labor Day (2017) I decided to get serious again about playing and wondered about Carvin guitars.  Then I found out about Kiesel and saw Steph Goyer and this superb piece of guitar mastery.  This inspires me every day.  I started taking lessons and just went to Guitar Center--San Marcos, CA and bought a Gibson Les Paul Standard (flamed top, etc. Just amazing!).  When I get back up to speed again, I intend to call Jeff Kiesel and drive over and have him help me order the custom guitar I always wanted.  And in case you think this is some shameless plug for Kiesel, I had the balls to use my real name so feel free to comment.  The only advice I have for anyone getting serious about guitars is this:  America does NOT have to get great again--it already was--especially when it comes to guitars and guitar craftsmanship.  So, if you can, buy a Kiesel, or Gibson, or Rickenbacker, or Fender (those made in USA, anyway) and you will never be sorry.  And Steph, or Jeff, I would pay money for the tablature to this riff.  It is truly inspirational and I wish Steph the best of luck with her band.
