Wow! What a brilliant song and arrangement, and my dear - you absolutely OWNED this song. I know you must get sick of the comparisons between you and Karen Carpenter, but the resonance that you two share is really brought to the fore in this song. You sing close to the mike too without seeming effort or need for added volume....the mic LOVES you, my dear. Whoops... just saw previous comment regarding her disdain about comparisons to Karen Carpenter. But... please... is that such a bad thing? Carpenter was amazing and to share a similar voice (albeit grittier, being BETTER imho), is that such a bad thing?? I lost both my dad and my uncle 2 years ago and I'm still grieving and this woman's voice -- YOUR voice -- helps me keep them alive. Uncle Mark's wedding song was "We've Only Just Begun" and my dad's anthem for his ashes being sent into outer space is "Space Oddity" (a very respectful R.I.P. to all aforementioned.) I can't wait to hear more from this beautiful, talented, AMAZING artist. Thank you for bringing joy to my life during such a dark time.
