Neil Druckmann sabotaged Amy Hennig's role at Naughty Dog

Seems Hollywood writer, Joe Carnahan, writing for the Uncharted movie, didn't like Neil Druckmann much.

"I think whatshisface – I’m not a fan – the guy that kind of stole credit for it," said Carnahan, referring to Druckmann. Discussing Film clarified his name, and the writer responded, "Yeah, that jerkoff. Whatever, there was a bit of saboteuring there going on with Naughty Dog."

Neil just thought that in the end he was indeed the right woman for the job!

Neil wants to represent women fictionally by forcing out women in reality. Good job.

There was another person, who was a voice-actor and was supposed to be in Uncharted 4 (I can't remember his name)...but he also left, and when asked why, he said..."When Amy Hennig was fire...er, uh I mean left Naughty Dog, I decided to leave too."
He was going to say "fired", but caught himself and then said "left." There were other ex Naughty Dog employees who said that Amy Hennig & Neil Ddruckmann did not get along and that they butted heads numerous times. One even hinted that Druckmann got her fired, saying that Druckmann forced her out. Neil Cuckmann claims he is for women, but he is only for women that push a certain toxic political ideology (like Anita Sarkeesian). Druckmann is a phony, and cares more about pushing an agenda than he cares about making good games to please the fans. Notice that he won't show Abbey much, probably because he knows it will offend the majority of LoU fans, and so he hides it until after people buy the game, a clear bait & switch tactic of phony people.

Druckman was just jealous that his lame writing could never satisfy our hot gamer bodies the way Hennig's did.

Nothing says feminism like firing your female video game director who directed legendary series like Legacy of Kain, Jak and Daxter, and the first three Uncharted games.

This is what I think happened. Druckmann wanted certain intersectional beliefs in the game and Amy Hennig didn't want to compromise the story. Therefore Druckmann pushed her out.

Intersectional Feminism isn't about feminism, it's about ideological purity and compliance.

At least the article author included it, could have easily pretended as tho it never was uttered to begin with, but to say it’s unfair is silly. By all reports we’ve seen Amy Hennig as a class act who has refuted many times to be goaded into talking about what a boy’s club the gaming world is, meanwhile you have good ol’ Whatshisface Druckman repeatedly prostrate himself and metaphorically flog himself before the SJW crowd, practically saying “I’m one of the good ones, the gaming industry is mysoginistic, I know, I’m a man! I apologize on their behalf, we’re just too toxic!”
Pretty funny to call him a hitchhiker, too. Honest dude in Hollywood is rare, it seems.

Amy: the key about feminism is subtly. We don’t want to just force down an agenda, that’ll skew everyone the other way

Neil: hold my bottle

I remember when amy left multiple reports claimed she was “forced out”. I’m surprised at the time nobody did some digging to find out what was going on.

Also it was pretty shitty of Neil to throw away literally her ENTIRE script. And waste company time and resources undoing all the work they did for her vision.

Sony should fire Neil and bring back Amy. I replayed Uncharted 4 this year and realized that the it wasn’t as tight and focused as the older games.

Knowing that Neil kept trying to change things with the story now makes sense why the antagonists felt unneeded. The story would have worked just fine with just the brothers. Sam being obsessed with the treasure and lying to Nathan is all the conflict the plot actually needed.

That dude has really taken Naughty Dog down a few notches. He may be a talented guy, but his smarmy ego & pandering skills far outweigh any positives he could bring in a leadership role.

I knew druck co-directed TLOU1. He didn’t have full narrative control, welp we already know what happens when that happens...TLOU2

I mean it's so much of open secret that Amy Hennig "left" ND because of Neil Druckmann backstabs. Both are in the position of lead writer & game director while Uncharted is clearly Amy Hennig's baby/passion project. Plenty of Uncharted fans actually talks about this back then when U4 story got really weird or made a boring turns (especially no mystical stuffs going on). Robingaming channel talks about this more comprehensively.
