I've played a couple hours now on Switch (portable) and I'm really impressed. Looks like a full 720p at all times with some good Anti Aliasing. And I've barely noticed any drops to frames, just a couple hitches when the horse does something crazy.

Very impressive port, who'd have thought 10 years ago we'd have massive console games on our lil Nintendo handhelds.

Hopefully everything will be on the physical cartridge. If I can beat the game without an update then physical is a no brainer. Having this on a small cartridge would be an awesome novelty to have!

I Highly recommend to anyone who hasn't played Red Dead Redemption, It's a must play especially if you've played RDR2. It's a game that's aged amazingly.

Well this is really the only good thing you can say about this release. A well-running portable version is definitely nice to have, and is worth pretty much everyone buying when it's on sale.

One of my all time favorites. I look forward to playing this on switch…as soon as it goes on sale. I think $40 US would have been a fair starting price, but of course they have to squeeze us and take advantage of our nostalgia and love for the game. In the end it’s fine though, I’ll be playing BG3 for the next few months anyway! (My Switch is feeling very neglected the past couple weeks). Have a great day Mark!

I’m pleased to here that it runs and looks as best it can on Switch. Sure the price and lack of online are frustrating but to have one of the best single player open worlds on a portable console is pretty impressive. I’ll definitely pick up the physical release on this, doubt you’ll get it much cheaper if you hold out.

Seems like a decent port. My wife rarely plays console games but I remember her being addicted to RDD when it launched. She actually completed about 90% of it and even gave me some tips.😆 I'm glad this port turned out okay but it's the price I can't fully justify. I'll wait for a price drop before I pick it up and play one of the best games ever again. Thanks for the review

I envy the people who are playing this for the first time. This game was absolutely amazing when it launched way back, it was ahead of it time. I still whistle Born Unto Trouble from the red dead soundtrack

I've heard of a physical coming some time late September early October so be on the look out for that. With Fall around the corner, my backlog is going to be ridiculous with Switch far exceeding my expectations this year I honestly am worried what might come next. As far as the multiplier being absent I'm fine with that. Most of my time playing this was single player and by the time I looked into multi it was pretty much dead. I'd say a small price to pay given No Man's Sky success. Multi being phased out in favor of improved visuals and FPS is a huge benefit especially for a game like this.

Thanks for the performance review!! I'm glad to see this is running better than the GTA Collection on Switch. I think I'm just gonna grab this right away. Price could be cheaper but I loved playing this back in the day on PS3 so having it portable will be great!
