The Blood 1983 EP is an EP consisting of reimagined versions of songs from the band’s classic 2012 album Blood to commemorate the 10 year anniversary of the album release. They are stylized as 80s songs, hence the 1983 reference.

Okay this is amazing. Burn was one of my favorites off the Blood album but this version might just be my favorite. Thank you for these new versions.

I've been a devoted fan of this talented young woman, and of course her brilliant band mates for many yrs. I'm opened to all varieties of music and was pleasantly surprised 😮 whenever a friend shared their work with me.
I can't wait to share this new mix with my 26yr.old Son, who has ("Severe Cerebral Palsy!")
He just adores her rocking raspy voice, and finds a way to escape from his mental and physical pain through some of their various tracks.
I can see and feel the engery shift around him.
So I help him raise his hands up and
"ROCK OUT" with his fist pumping slightly in the air, all the while smiling and tring his best to hum a little bit.
It's amazing to watch his reactions to music, which very from one artist to another.🎶
However, whenever "Maria Brink" opens that beautiful and talented mouth and sings, my amazing Son is obviously affected in a healing and therapeutic way.
I can't wait to take him to experience her live one day! ❣️

I listen to all types of modern metal and metalcore, and the original Burn is one of the most emotionally impactful songs I've gotten into. This is such a kickass version of it.

The mid-way point of this version gives me "stranger things" vibes and I think that's what they were aiming for, with this whole re-release...assuming I'm right, I'd say they nailed it. I absolutely love the sound they gave to these songs, and it was seriously the best thing they could have possibly done, as a tribute for the originals to mark ten years.
