Aghanashini's estuary is rich with bivalves, crabs and mangroves harboring dozens of varieties of fish. Also famous for endangered lion-tailed Macaque, tribal populations like the Halakkis, #Appemidi wild mangoes, brown salt and pest resistant Kagga rice.
Connects Bangalore and Karwar, covers 857 km. Belongs to South Western Railway.
