Scagdead's voice was probably the scariest part of the game. Mainly because you could hear there was a part of their human consciousness still alive.

This was genius. The way it starts normal, and you think maybe an ally is ahead that needs your help...and as you get closer, you pick up on the twisted nature of the voice more and more...

- the most hair raising part was when he said "a white light, I'm free" it gives you the idea he died right there and lost to the virus yet he's free from struggling to stay sane. This was a beautiful creature and truly brought fear to the player .

2:48 "Tasty, Itshy" is actually a reference to a letter found in the first Resident Evil Game. It was part of a diary from a person slowly turning to a zombie. The last thing he wrote was exactly those words.

This part alone when you are in the hall area when you start hearing him muttering things made me actually terrified to finally confront him and when I did I'm pretty sure I shat my pants almost. One of those few newer Resident Evil moments where I felt afraid in a game.

Horrifying how he is speaking his last words and the virus is also talking. You can hear his humanity turning, then his death, then his growing insanity, then his virus taking over completely and turning him into this bloodthirsty abomination.

The "I want life" clearly the virus speaking. That alone is chilling. But i highly think those who mutate past basic Oozes, remain trapped between life and death. Suffering in pain and trying to win over the virus. I have a theory that the voice is either both clearly fighting for control, or the virus in full control and using the voice to try and trick victims. The will to survive in both host and virus is what drives this battle for control....i dont think either ever end up winning completely. And the only way out is obviously

Love the distorted, pitch-shifting enemy voices; it really adds to the atmosphere and hints to any semblance of humanity they may have left.
It reminds me of the Taken from Alan Wake.

Honestly, if you read the notes that he left behind, you can see he is still fighting to remain in control, but the virus is winning the battle. I actually took a picture of the last line that makes some kind of sense. I think it is something along the lines of "Me not me. Who is me. help please help. mayday
